Do you honestly believe that you are a good person?
On the way to an awards ceremony, a successful actress becomes the centre of a dark and harrowing ordeal as she’s trapped inside a high tech limo, at the mercy of the voice over the speaker...
A slick Spanish movie fusing Art- & Shock cinema.
In this classic German chiller (by Metropolis director Fritz Lang), serial killer Hans Beckert (played by Peter Lorre) preys on children, and becomes the focus of a massive Berlin police manhunt. Beckert's heinous crimes are so repellant and disruptive to city life that he is even targeted by others in the seedy underworld network.
With both cops and criminals in pursuit, the murderer soon realizes that people are on his trail, sending him into a tense, panicked attempt to escape justice.
A notorious cult kidnaps a young girl and sacrifices themselves by the light of the locust moon. The next morning the girl awakes, caked in dried blood and surrounded by corpses but safe – or so she thinks.
Years later, the locust moon is about to rise again and the girl is captured once more by a surviving member of the cult. She is taken to a remote cabin where she learns that a demon has been growing inside of her all these years and before the dawn it will rise.
A former LAPD officer takes a job as head of security at an old building in Bulgaria.
After bizarre and terrifying events he delves into the building's sinister history and its shadowy owners but is confronted by a malevolent force fighting to be set free.
This fascinating, dark and twisted tale has the demonic reflection of a mentally damaged man (in an antique mirror) urge him to commit shocking acts of murder.
An equally intriguing story lies behind it: directed by oil heir Andrew Getty, he obsessed over each frame for years, spending his fortune & dying before its completion.
Starring: Frederick Koehler (Death Race), Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Michael Berryman (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) Brianna Brown (General Hospital), Dina Meyer (Starship Troopers), Kim Darby (True Grit)
Written and directed by late Andrew Getty
Produced by Eric Berliner, Michael Luceri

While Catalonia is currently in the news with a call for independence from Spain, SPUTNIK! looks at independence of a whole different kind.
Jacint loves horror, gore and trash movies, for years making low budget indie short films whenever he can.
And now he has a dream: make a full length feature film!
With little money but a whole lot of energy, tenacity and passion, he set out to make Zombi Infection in his Spanish Catalonian home town, with friends, family and half the town pitching in to make it a reality.
An inspiring, entertaining and very often funny documentary on guerrilla filmmaking with interviews including Jacint, his many collaborators and a wide range of other genre filmmakers and enthusiasts (some including filmmakers whose movies have screened at past South African HorrorFest events).
(While we only have the SA HorrorFest here at home) the filmmakers also look into the many popular Horror film festivals across Spain, the enthusiasm infectious.

ABOUT THE SOUTH AFRICAN HORRORFEST
In 2004 Paul Blom and Sonja Ruppersberg decided to rectify the issue of the absence of a dedicated Horror event in South Africa.
The first S.A. HorrorFest (then also known as the Horror Festacular) launched in 2005.
Besides being a Horror / Chiller / Thriller film festival (screening feature films and short films from around the world),
from the start it made a point of expanding into a broad Halloween event by incorporating
new live soundtrack performances to classic silent films by The Makabra Ensemble,
the Bloody Parchment literary chapter, Halloween dress-up competition, a night market and more.
HorrorFest organizers Sonja & Paul at the Zombie Walk, with their boy Zoltan
